SML: Eat this sour cream and onion flavored cricket.
DJM: No.
SML: Come on. You know you want to.
DJM: I really don't.
SML: How about this bacon flavored one? Oh, wait. You can't eat that. It's not vegetarian.

I just thought I would add some context to this post. One of our lovely coworkers had crickets today that she got from some dude that was passing them out on the street. Don't ask. Anyway, yeah, crickets (see pics below).
I challenged The Marathon Man to eat one, and well... he'll eat anything. Said it tasted like potato chips. To reinforce the point, he got his boy (Cubs Fan) to come over and eat one. Granted, Cubs Fan would also eat anything, too. He's eaten cat before. That's not some stereotype - he's a normal Midwestern white guy, he's just tried crazy stuff in foreign countries. Some people try the local weed. Cubs Fan tries the local pets. I called him Alf for a week after finding out.
So yeah, they both ate crickets today, and agreed that it tasted like potato chips.
I guess when I offered/dared DJM (a noted vegan) to try it, well... I had potato chip on my mind. I apologize to DJM....
