Interesting situation here... the Heat and Hawks played a game December 19th that ended with the Hawks winning in OT (117-111).  Only... it ain't over yet!

There was a foul called with 51.9 seconds left in the OT, on Shaquille O'Neal.  Due to a scorer's error (the Hawk's are responsible for the scorer's table), it was recorded as Shaq's sixth foul, and he was tossed from the game for being fouled out.

Turns out it was only Shaq's fifth foul (whoop!).   So, after filing a protest, the Heat won, and will get a do over of the final 51.9 seconds, with Shaq eligible.  Stern is the most gracious.  They'll play it before the March 8th game rematch at the Hawks arena (The Empty Dome?).  The score will be 112-111 Hawks

Just wow.  I don't think I've seen a protest in any sport win, not since the Pine Tar Game incident granted the Royals a crucial second chance against the Yankees.  The redo of that game's ending resulted in the Royals winning (the Yankees had won the original).

So, for fantasy purposes... how does this effect my player's stats?!?

The final 5 points for the Hawks were scored by: Joe Johnson (he loses 1 pt, but the good news?  He also loses one missed FT);  Anthony Johnson is down two points (one field goal less); Al Horford is down two points (bye-bye two FT's).  Marvin Williams and Mario West lose one rebound each.

Josh Smith is unaffected (he was already fouled out).

For the Heat, no points were scored, so it's all gravy on that side of the court.  Wade can add to his 36 points; Shaq can add to his 16 points.  Dorell Wright loses a rebound, but if you have Dorell Wright on your fantasy team, you aren't trying to win anyway.  Wade loses a missed FG, as does Ricki Davis.

If Wade scores another two points, and it costs you your Fantasy Title... well, now you'll have an awesome story to tell!
