i noticed that the guys were 29. mc-ing should have american idol's age ceiling: if you haven't blown by 28, you need to keep it movin' 'cause success in a youth genre ain't happening.
(at least that's how i've rationalized my obsolescence to the rap game.)
I never said it was "good". The best I could do is compliment the production values.
These guys are like a poor man's "Lordz of Brooklyn".
i was actually going to say "poor man's lordz of brooklyn," but i chose not to diminish them for 3 reasons:
a) they've moved from hip hop into frathouse-style bluegrass rock.
b) most (half?) of the l.o.b are irish and jojo pellegrino is italian.
c) the group's founder lives one street block away from me and is a neighborhood legend.
I thought I was making a fool of myself with my Knicks raps, but wow. These guys are making fools out of themselves. I mean, I suck, but mine is a joke, and it seems like these guys take this seriously.
You all need to stop hating and recognize that these kids are legends in the game. How you gonna compare the real to jojo Pellegrino? You better ask somebody.
I was talking about the last comment that SML posted from the guy rebutting the rap.
Everyone makin comments about how these kids aren't anyone and all that ... nobody realizes how well known they are in the underground rap game. Apparantely all you people listen to is commercial rap which is becoming an insult to true hip-hop. Stop hatin' ...
