Indeed, the Daily News is first to break the news of Marbury's testimony today in the Isiah Thomas sexual harassment lawsuit.  It's not very good:

"Nervous Knicks star Stephon Marbury took the stand today in the explosive $10 million sex-harassment suit that's rocking the Garden and admitted he lured one of the female accuser's subordinates into his car."

The accuser, Anucha Browne Sanders, supposedly "grew weepy as she described how the intern... was subjected to a filthy come-on by Marbury's cousin...".

She later testified that the intern told her she had sex with Marbury:

"Anucha, if it was anyone else I would have walked away," [the intern] said, according to Browne Sanders. "I felt like I had to."

Hold up.  Quick question... why isn't the intern testifying?  Maybe she will later in the trial?

"Wiping away tears, Browne Sanders added, "She basically did whatever he asked her to do. She considered it to be consensual because she agreed to get in the car."

Well, those tears aren't going to help the Knicks' case very much.

Marbury then got on the stand, and testified that he didn't the intern was drunk that night, and wasn't allowed to get into details by the judge.  We think his "better ho" might not be too pleased with reading this, though.

Some more bad news for the Knicks' case:

"Marbury admitted calling Browne Sanders a "bitch" after she refused to give him more game tickets for his friends and family."

That's actually consistent with a lot of the case so far.  It seems that Browne-Sanders has been pushing an angle that she worked under constant harassment, but I don't think she's sold it as "sexual" harassment (from what I've read over the last two days) as much as general harassment - being called a "bitch", being screamed at, etc.

Marbury continues to crack me up. He left the court, and got into a Rolls-Royce, but paused to talk to reporters for a bit.  He made "fun of of the reporters' ties and shoes", then "broke out into song" before announcing:

"I got some new Starburys that are coming out," Marbury said before disappearing, a pitch for his reasonably-priced basketball shoes.

That's Marbury's style, man!  He is truly enjoying himself, even in "serious" situations like this.  But for today, his testimony and Anucha's tear may have hurt the Knicks' case quite a bit....

I'd bet anything that the cousin who hollered at the intern was Bassy Telfair.
