I found Floyd "Money" Mayweather's rap "video" on You Tube thanks to a poster at Yardbarker named "Rubberguard" (I would link to his blog, but I'm not sure if he has one).  Bewared: Mayweather's video (below) has quite a bit of ass shaking in thongs:

Anyway, this video is questionable - it seems to be a video of the shooting of the video.  Either Mayweather is getting meta with us, or this isn't the official video.  The rap song itself is even worse - it has a simplistic, undynamic beat, a hook that sounds like someone has a bad case of the hiccups, a gimmicky amount of sound effects ("I make it rain", cue rain, "I make it storm", cue roar of thunder), and absolutely no lyrics of note.  I listened to it twice, and can't recall not one decent line.  At the risk of catching a beatdown from the pound for pound best boxer out there... this is poor quality.  Carl Lewis is gonna laugh at you, Floyd.

As for Ron Artest... we found his "Fever" video, too, and we were expecting crap.  Maybe it's because we just heard the Floyd Mayweather video, or maybe it's because almost every basketballer turn rapper not name Shaq has been utterly embarrassing.  Whatever the reason, this was actually enjoyable.  Not great, but surprisingly quality.  Check it out:

It must be something about the water in Queensbridge that produces rappers.  MC Shan, Roxanne Shante, Kool G. Rap, Nas, Mobb Deep, AZ, Capone 'N Nore... the list of rappers from QB is long and distinguished.  Ron Artest will not be joining that list, but at least you can say he didn't embarrass the hood.  Anyway, if you want your kid to be a decent rapper when he grows up, raise him in the QB.

Okay, let's go to the card... As for the comparison of the two videos (Money Mayweather vs. Ron Artest), we scored it 6 rounds to none in favor of Artest.  He has a better video, better hook, hotter and more professional-sounding track and sample, a beat that is far more polished, and better rhymes - "chain hanging from my neck but I'm not a slave", "party turned cold because the ice I rock is from the North Pole" - what, did you hear Mayweather's rhymes?!?  And his flow is surprising everyone.  The only thing Money Mayweather's video tops Artest's in is use of thong-wearing video hos.

Carl Lewis & Grace Jones,
separated at birth.

Mayweather better not give up his day job. That video ranks up there with Karl Rove's M.C. Rove.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ln5RD9BhcCo
