Some good posts from around the blogsphere that I wanted to highlight:

Leave The Man Alone has this post on ESPN and Michael Vick.  In the post, HCIC breaks down some of the arguments and points out their flaws:

The issue is not animal cruelty.

Just for example, Jonathan Babineux remains on the Atlanta Falcons roster and he is accused of bashing a puppy in the head with a hammer to get back at his girlfriend. And I doubt too many people will be throwing away their "Pulp Fiction" DVDs because they can't stand to think of Marsellus' Mastiffs mauling a man to death.

The HCIC goes through a few more "rationales" for the coverage of Vick.  Well worth the read.

On that tip, Pacifist Viking, towards the bottom of this post, writes about the treatment of chickens that are raised as food in the U.S., and wonders (in the comments) "how people would react if instead of being accused of making dogs fight each other, Vick were accused of raising dogs, killing them humanely, and eating them."

PV raises an interesting point there, one that addresses some of the hypocrisy of this situation.  That post is a little meta, as it also contains links to the HCIC's post, as well as to SML.  It's the Circle of (blog) Life.

Finally, I strongly recommend this post from Red's Army, where one of the writers there breaks down the mechanics of Rajun Rondo's jumper, and why it so fundamentally flawed.  It has great photos backing up it's assertion that Rondo uses too much palm on his shot, which is true in my opinion.  I didn't notice it last season as I barely watched Rondo (not at all, in fact), but you can generally tell when someone has a mechanical deficiency in their jumper.  Rondo's jumper is so bad I figured there had to be a reason why... this post validates my hunch.  Great work.
