There have been some really good postings this past week, especially today, so we wanted to do the rare link dump post.  Normally we prefer to incorporate our linking into posts, but there are too many good links to be do that:

  • Jordi of The Serious Tip had this great post about Gilbert Arenas the blogger, and how he hasn't been subjected to as much criticism for his blatant (and unapologetic) theft of intellectual material.  Odd, especially since, as Jordi points out, you would think this would this would be a sensitive topic for bloggers.
  • The Starting Five has some good posts today; this one is from JWeiler about Bonds, and this one is from D-Wil that brings together all the posts about Bonds at TSF.  D-Wil offer a tremendous amount of information that is often overlooked or underreported in the MSM, whereas JWeiler takes a look at one former athlete who stepped up to Mike Greenberg's rant about Bonds.
  • Fire Joe Morgan had a funny post about Jay Mohr's lame post for Fox Sports.  It's really ironic; we read the Jay Mohr post first, and shook our heads at how bad it was... Fire Joe Morgan just went off and took it to another level.
  • The Commission's Friday posts, with old skool hip-hop videos, have become a weekly must read for us.
  •  Also via The Commission, we found this post on how to enter to win a tryout with an ABA team.  We actually (barely) know two of the judges - Mike James from Amityville (our friend's friend), and Will Leitch (once in a while we buy him a PBR, and in exchange hopefully he doesn't kill us for the rip jobs about Deadspin we post on SML).  What an odd duo.
  • Signal 2 Noise has another nice post that dissects SI's cover history, and how it to respond to SI's coverage of Barry Bond.
  • Mundo Albiceleste, our favorite non-SML Argentina blog, has a post about our man in the Premiership, Carlos Teves, official transfer to Manchester United.  We'll miss rooting for the Hammers, but Man U. is more TV-friendly!
  • Oh, and don't forget to check out Posting and Toasting's Top 10 Fan Favorite Knicks compilation - here is Seth's take on David Lee.  Holy sh*t, I owe Seth a post about Latrell... oops.  Coming tonight, I promise.
  • Hopefully this link will take Barnesgasm out of the 700's in his rankings.
  • Here's a post from The Sports Pickle that I just knew someone was going to make.
  • We rarely link to ESPN, but Bojami Jones had a great article last week on Bud Selig's crazy statements regarding following Bonds around.
  • Finally, a nice basketball link dump (!) from our new favorite Blue Jays blog! I didn't know Canadians knew how to say "big up".

SML - I can't take credit for the Bonds stuff -- Modi at Cosellout wrote that; I just linked to it recently.

Here's a fixed link to the Kupchak and J. O'Neal trade stuff.

Oh, the post is messed up - Modi was suppose to get a link to his latest Bonds post, and you (S2N) were suppose to get the link to the Jermaine O'Neal trade.

My bad. I'll blame the new software we are using as of today (hence the weird linkage problems earlier)! Still working out bugs.

In any case I'll fix that in a bit - I have to run to a game right this second. Sorry about that....
