Yo, SML back from vacation, just got off the plane.
But I wanted to take a second to share some thoughts off the brain...
No, we have no beef with Deadspin;
Will Leitch has always been a friend.
But some bloggers got upset by our post.
They twisted our words so the point was lost.
Quoted us, then claimed we deleted that line?
Which was it, come on, make up your mind!
Punks aren't worthy of the heat of my urine,
nothing but a bunch of lie-spreading, truth-slurring....
Coming on to our blog talking that "You want links, write better" shit.
Gassed if they think a Deadspin link means that they are full of wit!
Cowards hiding behind a fake name.
Too scared to be real? That's a damn shame!
Seriously, what's up with "Click Clack"?
Never heard of him before his quick attack.
A commenter that never before appeared on your website,
but is willing to come here, throw up his hands and fight your fight?!?
Seems kind of weird,
the way he just appeared.
Don't know what I'm talking about? Let me explain this mess:
Hank Worrell and Click Clack both have the same IP address. (24.254.30.84)
Are you also Kid Uterus?
He's a damn fool to step to this.
The names sez it all - a child and a scrub who can't win.
But I ain't mad - I will just flick ya gnats off my skin.
A child stepping to a grown man?
No worries, because we have a plan:
we sticking to the blueprint, SML ain't just link sluts,
but following the model of Skeets, MJD and Wizznutz.
Practically every post they write is quality,
Visit their sites, clever analysis is all you see.
And I'm not stupid, I know we ain't there yet.
But we will get there, undeterred by the words of some herbs on the internet.
Never the less, I don't hate ya.
A while back we had some beef with The Cavalier,
because to his guidelines we did not quite adhere.
Let's not forget that he showed us a lot of support
back when we were still new, via some links from Yaysports.
And he gave us a chance to be his sub even though we were brand new...
Then he went off and ripped DJM's Brief Interviews.
He called us creatively bankrupt,
and implied we were also corrupt.
We were shocked because we were pretty sincere.
We thought we had made our sub plan pretty clear.
I was mad and ready to fight,
ready to bash his freaking site,
but DJM said "take the high road".
So SML let it go.
Still, it was pretty shitty to find out second-hand we had gotten fired.
Never the less, our little beef with The Cavalier has since been retired.
We don't hate ya.
Before we tell ya who we do hate, we are gonna tell ya who we love:
Everyone knows we got mad love for Posting and Toasting and The Starting Five;
Temple3, Hoops Addict, Hooplah...Nation, and Empty the Bench are mad live;
The Serious Tip, MC Bias, and Extrapolater have become must-read,
and we are appreciative of all the love from True Hoops, Skeets and The Big Lead.
Tremendous Upside Potential, Becky...
plus Depressed Fan and Erin are all in the family.
The Fanhouse crew - Shoals, MJD, Gossip and Nate;
Still trying to guess who we hate?
Might as well give it up, it ain't no use -
the only one SML hates is... Brown Recluse!

Other historical SML fights:
June 2007: Shan-off calls McGill a so-so university. We respond by noting that Northwestern is a glorified IU. We still don't know why Skeets hangs with that guy.
2005, Captain Caveman: The Marathon Man has some sort of undisclosed beef with the Captain that stems back to before he was a big time blogger. I don't know the deal with that, so let me just make it clear that I, myself, have no beef with the Captain. Yet.
2004: The Greek Professor declares that he will "spit in the eye of" The Turkish Professor, if he runs into the Turkish Professor on the street. This beef needs no further background.
1995: Willie Fuego steps to the hardest thug in the school (Big Ant) during gym class, despite being outweighed by a 3-1 ration, and caps it off with this classic declaration: "I'll shank ya Boriqua style... knife wounds to your ass, yo!"
