More NBA Gossip goodness, from that valuable source The Marathon Man. We can't thank him enough for his contributions. Here's the latest one, topping last night's post about Donald Sterling's cheapness:
This is from my boy down in South Beach... definitely as good (OK, better) as the Sterling sighting and this is totally confirmed, too. Here's the story as I got it...
I should mention that seeing LeBron trying to get into a club that is two blocks from my house is still something that will turn my head. I guess that it was just a lucky mix of a huge crowd and me wandering out to the Playwright that allowed me to nearly bump into this 6’10’’ monster. Anyway, you can read about the fact that he wasn’t allowed in to the club because he didn’t have the right pants on here, but what you can’t read about is what I saw that night.
First, LeBron threw a temper
tantrum to the bouncer, then offered him money, and then walked away before
paying some random [very tall white] person on the street an unknown amount of
money to switch pants with him. The guy took off his pants, gave them to
LeBron, he jumped into a car, changed out of his shorts, and into the other guys
pants… It was perhaps the gulliest (it’s a word, trust me) thing I’ve ever seen
in my life….and LeBron did end up getting into the club. That’s where my story
ends.
Cool, great story. Props to that bouncer for not caving in. Here's what it remind me of immediately: We did that once in DR (Dominican Republic), to get into a casino. We needed a button shirt to get into the "nice" casino in town, and had tee shirts on only. So we had to buy the taxicab driver parked outside the casino's nasty smelly shirt. Aiyyo, we traded him what was left of our bottle of liquor (I'm sure it was Johnny Walker) for the shirt, too. We had like a 1/5 of the bottle left, too.
As soon as we got the shirt, the guy went to his trunk, got out some cups, and started guzzling the Johnny.

Very cool story. I'm shocked they actually wouldn't allow him in initially. What would have the club owner said if her saw his bouncer not letting in one of the biggest names in the basketball and hollywood world? It would be safe to say that the bouncer would have lost his job in seconds. As Bron traded pants with a guy, it just shows how he has not "completely" been taken over by his ego, although I'm sure that'll change quite soon, as he is on his way to being the first sports Billionaire.
