OMG He's SOOOO Dreamy!

Tomorrow night, I will be live in Carson, California, to watch the savio(u)r of American soccer take the field against a team that's actually good. I'll have a full report to follow on Monday.

But in the meantime, use the comments to let me know if there's something you specifically want me to address. You know, stuff like:

Q: OMG how does his hair look in person? Is it as beautiful as it looks on television?

Q: zOMG was his wife there? What was she wearing?

Q: OMG where in the sweet effing w*rld is Carson, California. What is that, like Fresno?

 And, most importantly

Q: OMG does the Home Depot Center sell beer other than Budweiser Select?

I can only hope to be pictured drinking a bottle of something while I'm there. Might get me on the Fanhouse, baby! Woo!

And yes: all questions/comments must begin with "OMG". Them's the rules.

I've been to the Home Depot Center. It's a nice place, but the day I went, it was about 100 degrees. One side of the stadium, where all the fans were, was in full sun. The other side, with about ten family members of the U.S. Women's National Team, was in full shade. Guess where we moved to after the first half?

Here's my question for Beckham: when are you planning to announce to the world that, thanks to your new friend Tom and Katie, you are a full-fledged Scientologist?

OMG, here's the question I have. ESPN is making a huge deal out of this, and the tabloids are making a huge deal out of this, and I'm sure this means a great deal to Americans who are already soccer fans, but for the rest of us, is Beckham going to change anything?

Is he going to change a country that doesn't care about Soccer (except maybe once every four years for a game or two until we get knocked out of the World Cup), into a country of soccer fans?

I can't speak for anyone but myself, but I'll continue to view the MLS as a step below Arena League Football, Major League Lacrosse (or whatever their league is called), the NHL and on par with the WNBA.
