I don't know who this is, but I'll be damned if he's not Canadian.

Why am I Canadian?

I was born and bred in the USA. Actually, that's not true. I was born elsewhere and probably bred there too, not that I want to spend much time thinking about that. But so the point is that I've been to Canada only once, and that was for a few short hours of "tourism." And none of my ancestors seem to have spent much time in Canada either.

But here I am, Canadian DJM. Was it because the subject of my first post was that great Canadian game of (shit, what's that called again? oh yeah) ice hockey? I asked SML "Whence the moniker?" (note: I actually talk like this) and he's all, "Y'all jus' fuckin' seem Canadic to me, knowhumsayin?" (note: he actually talks like this).

Oh.

So I suppose that makes me a beaver trapping, cap wearing, Quebecois separatist supporting, gun owning but never firing, hockey obsessing, 600 miles from my nearest neighbor living, the letter "o" mispronouncing, freakishly polite socialist white guy?

I don't know much about Canada. Teach me. Tell me why I'm Canadian, that I might respect our brothers to the north. Um... how am I supposed to end this? Eh? Like that? OK.

 Eh?

Thanks for the post, your blog looks lovely! I have been having trouble catching up with the Winter Games this year but this really helped me!
