Beat The Skeets is a daily feature in which SML tries to surpass the record set by the best basketball handicappers in the world, J.E. Skeets and Tas Melas of thebasketballjones.net

TBJ Current Record: They lost their fourth in a row yesterday betting on the Jazz, dropping their record to 53-34 (60.9%).

SML Current Record: We got hammered yesterday, losing with the Mavs and the Grizzlies. Current record: 1-3 (.250)

Today's picks: SML is going with Knicks [+1.5] on the road against the Bucks, and the Wizards [-5.5] at the Celtics*.

*Pick automatically cancelled if the Boston PD decides to arrest or harass Gilbert Arenas while he is in Boston.**

**Yes I hate Boston and think the police over there are prone to racism.

Did anyone see the riots anfter the game 7 this week? What kind of fans celebrate by destroying their own city? Los Angeles Laker are a group of animals. According to The Associated Press, 38 people were arrested for "public intoxication, vandalism or inciting a riot." Probably doesn't help to have thugs on the team. Kobe seems to have escaped that rape charge in Colorado just fine. In any case, the NBA is starting to seem kinda fixed. Los Angeles Lakers always seem to get more than their share. Just look at years past. Wonder if it's because of Jack Nicholson.
