The Back Page Battle is a running tab of The NY Daily News vs. The NY Post backpages, and the cleverness of their headlines.
Today's headlines are pretty bland and uninteresting... the Post went with "$uper Bowl", referencing the annual tradition of writing a story about how much gambling takes place during the Super Bowl week. Shaking the pillars there, Post. My apartment hasn't stop moving since that earth-shattering story dropped. The Daily News went with "Year of Giants", referencing a story about the Super Bowl champion NY Giants, 20 years later. I give them bonus points for the picture of Bill Parcells from 20 years ago, which looks like it is from 40 years ago. Damn, chain-smoking war-torn Serbian hookers age better. I have to give today's battle to the News. ....
